Hello there, this is the Irishman, blogging on behalf of Ingy....sorry to say, he hit the bar a bit early tonight so we felt his blogging skills might be impaired! [Unfair, after such a day I was "Tired and Emotional" in the true sense, not the modern euphemism - Ingy]

With no morning session in the athletics we all had a relatively free day today to do what the hell we felt like. Steve Dawes went to the Zoo...he loves animals. I watched wimbledon.....now that the Williams sisters have been knocked out it's safe to watch the tennis again! Sharapova was awesome today....not as AWESOME has Mike Batiste though (or is that Baptiste?!)....1.55 in the 800m...awesome i tell ya! That it was only good enough for 4th is beside the point, that time was awesome.

Second on the awesome list today was Bernie Hanley.....who caught a 6 inch tench during a thunder storm this afternoon....called it Terry....then let it go. Ingy is going to try and find him again tomorrow.

Alun didn't have to do too much chauffering today.....but he made a few quid as a taxi driver around the Island instead, the only non-paying customer being Mezza....cheapskate!

The only other good thing about today (excluding the other great performances down at the track, including Glenn's gold of course...i'm sure someone else will fill you in on that) was that i had a massage today....it was lovely!
